Applied Technology

To ensure instantaneous availability of spare parts worldwide we utilize widely available parts in our tower cranes. 95% of the parts used in WILBERT tower cranes are high volume components and are used reliably in a variety of products.

WT e.tronic tower cranes employ the required safety control redundancies to comply with DIN EN 954/3. If an error occurs in one of the absolute encoders, the availability of the redundant system allows for continuation of work at half-speed. Our safety sensors are mutually exchangeable which simplifies spare parts logistics.

WT e.tronic tower cranes operate reliably in all stable 400 V 50/60 Hz rotary current systems. The circuit breakers used are rated AC4 and do not wear. The e.tronic control records all relevant operating data, such as gear operating hours, load utilization, and wind speeds. All data and alarms acquired by the WT e.tronic can be remotely accessed from your PC in the office via the GSM modem in the crane.

The electrical central lubrication unit provides lubrication of the surface of the ball bearing slewing rim. If the lubricant level sinks below a defined threshold the built-in GSM modem dispatches a SMS message to a service number and the touch panel alerts the crane operator.
